Dec. 12, 1954 - The Cutty Sark starts off on her last voyage leaving the East India Dock.: The world's most famous sailing ship the Cutty Shark left the East India Dock this morning fro Greenwich where a special dry dock is being prepared for her. When the ancient vessel has been installed the dock itself will be completed and also the ship is to be re-rigged and re-fitted a task that will take about a year. It has been organised by the Cutty Sark Preservation Society. Photo shows the scene today as the Cutty Sark left the East India Dock on her last journey this morning
