Sep. 23, 1954 - Polish crew Mutiny- Seven men seize polish Trawler and steam into English port, Seven members of the crew of the public trawler Puszczyk seized control of the 150 - ton vessel after staging a mutiny aboard. After locking the captain and the remaining eight members of the crew in their cabins they steamed into Whitby, Yorkshire, Harbour, ans asked for political asylum.
