Mar. 03, 1956 - Three hundred and fifty die as ferry sinks victims brought ashore: At least three hundred and fifty people lost their lives yesterday when the Turkish Ferry boat the Uskudar sank in the Izmit Bay, of the Sea of Marmara.It is believe red that the vessel hit a water spot during a sudden storm - overturned sank so suddenly that most of the passengers were trapped inside.
