Sep. 09, 1956 - Donald Campbell Break His Own World Water Speed Record Blueb Reaches 286 M.P.H: Donald Campbell hasft again. He astoniahed the world last night he smashed his own world water speed record in is jet-boat Bluebird in a death defying dash of6.78 m.p.h on Lake Coniston last night. On his second run, as Bluebird rolled bounced, and snaked, he was force to cut his speed to 164.48 m.p.h but it was enough for Campbell to break the world record for the third time in 15 months at over 225 m.p.h.
