1955 - New British Tanker Launched at Faversham.: Britain;s newest tanker - the 300 ton Haulier was launched this afternoon at the Faversham Shipyard of John Pollock sons and Co. She is the first of nine similar ships to be built for the B.P. Company - and is the first vessel constructed in this country - incorporating the Voith Schneider Cycloidal propleer.
