Jun. 06, 1956 - Portuguese sailing barque in the River Dart. Three cheers for the Mayor. The 3, 000 ton Portuguese Sailing barque Sagres arrived in the River Dart yesterday in readiness for the training ship race back to Lisbon. The picturesque vessel is under the command of Capt. L. Dentinho of the Portuguese Navy. Keystone Photo Shows: - The Sagres in the River Dart as her yardarms are manned by the crew giving three rousing cheers for the Mayor of Dartmouth. JSS/Keystone
