May 05, 1955 - A Nose for the Job: The Port of London, one of the World's biggest and Budiest, has a new salvage vessel with a nose capable of lifting 120 tons over the bows. 144.5 ft. long, the new vessel is equiped for ll types of salvage work, towage and Wreck raising. Deep ballets tanks force and ft enable it to be tipped, Main equipment consists of a 30-tons stalled-pull electric- hydraulic winch, a twin electric3.5 ton warping and cable captain, and a 3-ton electric stern winch.
