1957 - The Mayflower II - Under Sail - At Last: The Mayflower II traveled under full sail for the first time yesterday when her kipper Commander Alan Villagers took the vessel for a three hour trip in Brixham, Devon Bay. The replica of the vessel used by the Pilgrim Fathers in their historical journey from Plymouth to Plymouth, Mass. in 1620. is expected to leave Brixham today for Plymouth for the start of the report of the repeat journey.
