1957 - The Mayflower II Under Sail - At Last: The Mayflower II travelled under sail for the first time yesterday - when her skipper - commander Alan Villiers took her for a three hour trip in Brixham, Devon, bay. The replica of the original Mayflower is expected to leave Brixham today for Plymouth - for start of the journey over the same course to Plymouth, Mass - taken by the famous Pilgrim Fathers in 1620.
