Apr. 17, 1957 - The Mayflower II under sail at last: The Mayflower II traveled under full sail for the first time yesterday when her skipper Commander Alan Villiers took the vessel for a three hour trip in Brixham, Devon Bay. The replica of the vessel used by the Pilgrim Fathers in their historical journey from Plymouth to Plymouth, Mass in 1620 is expected to leave Brixham today for Plymouth for the start of the repeat journey.
