Jun. 20, 1957 - Flu ship with British Servicemen and their Families on board is placed under Quarantine at Durban: The 18, 036-ton British troopship Empire Orwell. who is on her way to Britain with 200 troops and 250 women and Children arrived at Durban and was placed under strict quarantine because there are several cases of Asian influenced aboard.
