Jan. 01, 1959 - Japan's biggets shipo undergoes her trials.: The 43, 736 tons deadweight tanker Goho Maru - Japan's biggest ship recently underwent her trials off Tokyo bay. The vessel has a double reduction geared trubin e engine developing a maximum continuous output of 17.600 h.p. to give her a maximum fully loaded service speed of 17 knots. She will be on the Japan-Midle east Service. She cost 3, 560 millions yen, and was built at the Aici Shipyard of Harima Shipbuuilding Company - for the Iino Kaiun Kaisha company.
