Aug. 08, 1959 - Sir Christopher Wren Party - 17th Century Lives Again In London: A 17th century party was organised this evening by members of the Association of Kensington Antiquarians, a group of antique dealers. Members of the Association, dressed in period costume, went to Trig Lane steps, off Upper Thames Street, where River Thames lightermen, dressed in Doggett Coat and Badge regalia, rowed them across to Bankside. There the Party paid a visit to 49 Cardinals Wharf. It was in a house there that Sir Christopher Wren is reputed to have once lived. Sir Christopher Wren was portrayed by Gordon Hand, Chairman of the Kensington Antique Dealer's Association.
