Jan. 10, 1959 - A new ship for the German Navy: Now the supervisor of the German Navy Vice - Admiral Ruge put in the new exercise frigate Hipper at the Tirpitz-mole in Kiel. The first commander of the former heavy battle-ship Admiral Hipper Vice - A miral out of service Heye christioned the new ship. The 1470 BRT tons ship was built in England in 1944 as frigate Actaeon. In Dec. 1958 the German navy got the sip from England
