May 05, 1958 - NEW FIBRE GLASS POLICE LAUNCH. A new fibre glass Police launch was handed over for today at the Waterloo Police Pier. It is 30-feet long and powered by a Diesel engine, with a speed of 12 5/4 knots. It is moulded in two halves and bolted to an alluminium alloy keel.
