Jul. 07, 1955 - The New Shrimp Class Midget Submarine of The Royal Navy.. The latest vessel to join the Shrimp Class submarines of the Royal Navy is the Stickleback her sister ships being the Shrimp'; Sprat and Minnow'. Built by Vickers Armstrong of Barrow-in-Furness - she is manned by a crew of five - is 54 feet long and is fitted with a Perkins P6 diesel engine to provide the electrical propulsion power.
