Dec. 12, 1958 - Britain Welcomes THE NAUTILUS as she arrives in Portland Harbour The United States nuclear-powered submarine NAUTILUS arrived at Portland Harbour this afternoon, at the end of her voyage which took jer under the Nor5th Pole. Thousands of holiday-makers cheered and ships sirens sounded a welcome as the submarine approached the harbour.
