Flies over the water.: The United states Navy's hydrofoil craft USS High Point (POH-1) flies over the surface of the straits ofJ uan De Fuda in Puget Sound, Washington while undergoing her first high sea state trials recently. Powered by gas turbine engines, the PCH (Patrol Chaser, Hydrofoil) travelled over rough seas at speed between 35 and 40 knots. On the surface the 110-ton hydrofoil craft can maintain a speed of 14 miles-per-hour
