Feb. 26 Burning Navy tanker towed back into Harbour Wave Victor on way to Swansea. Two tugs towed the burning Naval tanker Wave Victor into Swansea today. She was lying off the mumbles with smoke still pouring from her though the fire fighters had brought the blaze under control during the night. An urgent message has been sent to the Swansea fire brigade to be ready when the 8, 128 ton vessel was brugh in. Aboard the vessel which caught fire in the Bristol Channel near Lyndy Island were captain F.C. Holt and a skeleton crew. a third tug followed the vessel into port - spraying water on her some of the ship's officers - 25 years old Mrs. Mary McNeil of south shields and 21 members of the crew landed at Bristol from the freighter find born. photo shows The scene as the vessel is towed into harbour this morning
