Dec. 12, 1959 - THE CAPTAIN OF WRECKED FREIGHTER IS TAKEN OFF HIS SHIP BY BREECHES BUOY: The courageous captain who refused to leave his gale-battered ship as she began breaking up on the rocky coast of Aberdenshire was saved yesterday. He was taken off by breeches buoy after staying alone on the stricken Finnish freighter Anna for 26 hours. Captain Johan Veurio agreed to leave only because he was ordered off by the owners.
