Feb. 29 A NEM SUBMARIE MARKER BNOY. A new type of submsri e marker buoy for the Royal Navy has been developed by the Admiralty, These buoys are for releasing by submarines, which may, for any rem eon, be unable to surface atter diving. Made larGely of light alloy, buoyancy is given by a series of email capsules housed in a container which is to the sea. Thus, without being heavy or bulky, the buoy will willstand the rt..sures encountered when it submerges with the submarine. The buoy incorporates a light, refleeting refloating studs, end is expototed ultimately to be fitted with e highly sPecialined form of radio trans.mitter. Good riding qualities are given by attaching the mooring and pivoting stirrup
