Feb. 26 Navy's High Speed Submarine. H.M. Submarine Explorer, one of the Royal Navy's experimental high speed submarines, which recently visited London, seen operating at high speed on surface. The Explorer built by Messrs. Vickers Armstrong at Barrow-in-Furness. She is the first of two experimental high speed submarines, using what is known as high test peroxide system of propulsion. The H.T.P. is, however, merely an agent used to produce an atmosphere to make it possible for main propelling machinery to be employed at full power when submerged
