Mar. 27 The Soviet research schooner Zarja (Golden Dawn) has arrived in Colombo Harbor after a cruise in the Indian Ocean in which the magnetic field of the Earth has been studied in connection with the International Geographic Year, The schooner is 100% anti-magnetic, and without an ounce of steel or iron aboard or in her construction. Even her auxillery motors are made from bronze and other non-ferrous metals. She is in Colombo to bunker, and have repairs made to her engines after which she will sail for Vladivostok. The leader of the expedition, Mr. M. Ivannov, is seen describing a special compass to members of the Ceylon Press aboard the Zarja
