Mar. 27 Gorch Fock as birthday guest: More than 100, 000 inhabitants came together as at positive weather with sunshine the Gorch Fock came into the harbour of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburgh. Carrying a full press of sails the big sailing school-ship of the West-Germany Bundeswehr came into the harboure to hanour the 790. birthday of the port of Hamburg/West-Germany. The 90 metres long yacht was escorted by the most splendid sailing ship of our the Sea Cloud - a 107 metres long four mast ship - but with refeed sails.
