Feb. 29 First Missile Destroyer nears completion: The Royal Navy's first fully anti-atomic ship, the super destroyer HMS DEVONSHIRE, is in Birkenhead after undergoing extensive trials in coastal waters. Devonshire, 5, 000 tons, carries Seaslug and Seacat anti-aircraft guided missile equipment. She will be commissioned next month. Pictured today.
