Mar. 22 Exercises Run Aground IX - At Southsea - Exercise Run Aground IX = was carried out on the Eastney Beach, Southsea - today - in which Staff College Students saw some of the craft - methods and equipment used in amphibious operations. The exercise included an assault by Royal Marine Troops mounted from a Command Carrier in helicopters.
