Feb. 29 The Bounty, famed ship used in the Metro Goldwyn-Mayer movie, is now on permanent exhibits at St. Petersburg, Florida. To keep the exact replica of the original 18th century vessel shape master craftsman Clarence Carlson is constantly busy doing repair work. He has recently replaced the tall center mast, hand tooled from a Douglas fir weighing seven tons and ten times older than the original Bounty. Whittling the giant tree down to size required expert craftsmenship
