Feb. 26 International Hydrofoil: A 59 feet, 17 1/2 long tons, hydrofoil a craft that skims along the water has been designed and built for the Defence Board of Canada by two British companies ( Saunders - Roe Ltd. and Saunders-Roe (Anglesey) Ltd.). The hull is of a luminum alloy construction and its three hydrofoil units are mounted on each side an the rear. Named the Bras d'Or (R.103), powered by 2 Rolls -Royce Griffon marine engines, it is to be used in Canada for research purposes.
