Mar. 22 Hamburg police discover 2.6 tons of Hashish at the river Elee; Probably the largest drug smuggling case in West Germany was recently discovered by the Hamburg police authorities. 2.6 tons of Hashish were found in and along the river Elbs, probably having been thrown over board from hte Libanese freighter Bazbda after the crew had noticed that they were being shadowed by the water police and custom. The hashish has probably been carried in the ship's watertank. Meanwhile the Basbda has been seized by the authorities, the captain and the bostwain have been arrested.
