Flattop Makes A Name For Itself: Noe Serving with Britain's Mediterranean fleet is the aircraft carrier H.M.S. Eagle. built at cost of the equivalent of almost 0 million and specially designed to operate modern jet aircraft. Her planes now include three types of jets, the Hawker Sea Hawk fighter, Fairey Gannet anti-submarine aircraft and West-land Wyvern strike aircraft - the first time the three types have served on the carrier.
