Apr. 05 Repair From Above: Neatly packed (center right) for a deck landing. the repaired steering gear of the Italian Schooner Georlando is lowered from a British Navy Helicopter in the Mediterranean 100 miles South of Crete. The British aircraft carrier H.M.S. Albion answered the Italian Vessel's distress call when it was drifting helplessly and out of food. Jets found it first and helicopters did the rest, dropping two mechanics to remove the damaged gear, taking it to the flattop for repair, and returning it for installation. A farewell gift, also dropped by helicopter, was food for four days, including ravioli, of course
