May 05, 1960 - PRESS VISIT TO H.M.S. VANGUARD - AT PORTSMOUTH FOR LAST TIME: Members of the Press visited H.M.S. Vanguard - at Portsmouth today for the last time. The vessel is being broken up later this year. She is of 44, 500 tons - cost £10, 000, 000 - and has never been in action as she was completed in April 1946 - too late for the war.
