Feb. 02, 1960 - Danish Freighter Arrives at Haifa. Detained by Egyptians for some months. The Danish freighter Inge Toft (4, 000 tons) received a heroe's welcome when she arrived back at Haifa Port recently. The vessel had ben detained by the Egyptians at Port Said since last May - when she tried to obtain passage through the Sues Canal to East Africa with Israeli cement and potash aboard. The Captain - Capt. Erhardt Shultz said that he and his crew that sumerous attempts were made to get permission was refused without explanation.
