Jun. 06, 1961 - SAILING DOWN THE RIVER ON A CHINESE JUNK. A Chinese junk was to be seen sailing down the River Thames yesterday on the way to Cowes, Isle of Wight, to spend the summer sailing months. Although traditional in design - the Junk is powered by an outboard motor. Named Sea Dragon, the Junk has been fitted out for 31-year-old Waybridge yachtsman, John Warner and his wife Olga, who claim it is the safest of sea-going craft.
