May 05, 1961 - The Racing Ketch Stormvogel: The oceans racing ketch, Stormvogel, 75 foot long, weigh 30 tons, beam 16 feet and main mast 85 foot tall, which is considered one of the finest and fastest yachts built in South Africa, is now sailing for Amsterdam and Cowes where it will enter for the racing events. It will also take part in the classic Fastnet event. After this event it will return to Cape Town via Mediterranean and East Coast. In January it will take part in the Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro race, then in August, next year, New York to Bermuda and later Bermuda to Europe races. The yacht is owned by Mr. C. Bruynzeel, of Stellebosch, Cape Town
