Nov. 11, 1960 - Royal Naval Survival at Sea Trials: Officers and Ratins of the Royal Navy took part in survival at sea trials in Portland Harbour Today in which a variety of survival rafts were tested as a preliminary to Mid-Ocean trials to be held next year. Photo shows a volunteer jumps from side of H.M.S. Plover into the sea after which he swims to the survival raft. Seen in Portland Harbour today
