Nov. 11, 1960 - Mrs. Lubke Christens Navy Training Ship Deutschland': Mrs. Wilhelmine Lubke, the wife of the German Federal President on Nov. 5th christened, the new navy school ship Deutschland ('Germany'). Then the ship - with a water displacement of 4500 tons slid into the water in Rendsburg (Rebdsburg). The Deutschland not only is the biggest ship of the German navy but also is the one with the best equipment. Picture shows the new ship shortly before the launching
