Dec. 12, 1964 - The first one-man submarine on December 29th was transported form the airport Munich-Riem to New York. The U-boat which is constructed by an Upper Bavarian firm will be displayed at a boat-show, taking place in connection with the World Fair in New York. This one-man-submarine is 3, 10 m long, 1, 60 m broad, 1, 40 m high and has a weight of 644 kg. The fuselage of the mini-submarine is made of synthethic products and strengthened by glass-fibre. the diving deep of this boat comes to 50m.
