Jan. 01, 1966 - Suspended: was some days ago the shipping traffic on the Danube because of heavy drift-ice-fromatioins. Last weekend the water-and shipping-Direction Regensburg ordered this precaution because of the sinking temperatures further ice-formations near the weirs Kachlet and Jochenstein are expected. On the both weirs the ice is rising about 10 km. Together with the shipping-traffic also the operations of ice-breakers are suspended.
