Jul. 07, 1964 - Savanah - the world's first atomic-powered merchant vessel at Southampton: The U.S. Nuclear ship SAVANAH, the world's first atomic-powered merchant vessel, has just completed her maiden voyage, and today she arrived at Southampton. The ship will be open to the public on July 10, 11, and 12th.
