Jul. 18, 1966 - Man To Cross The Pacific Ocean On Home Made Raft: Mr. Kiyohisa Ohno, 50 year-old company executive in Nagoya, Japan is now ready to sail across the Pacific Ocean to America to Address the Uno for World Peace. He made the raft out of 74, oil drums and has a Car in the centre of the raft which will give him power from its engine when there is no wind to fill the sail. He will start as soon as the government gives him a permit to mail. Photo shows. Mr. Ohno on his raft at Shibaura pier Tokyo, awaiting permission to sail
