Sep. 26, 1965 - Prime Minister's Wife Launches Britain's Third Nuclear Hunter Killer Submarine. Mrs. Mary Wilson, wife of the Prime Minister, yesterday launched H.M.S. Warspite, Britain's third nuclear hunter killer submarine at the Barrow in Furness shipyard of Messrs Vickers Ltd. The Warspite has a lenghh of 285 feet, a beam of 33 feet, and a complement of eleven officers and seventy nine ratings.
