Aug. 15, 1966 - Francis Chi Chester To Sail Alone Round The World: Mr. Francis Chi Chester plans to set out this week on his longest-ever alone voyage - from Plymouth, Devon to Sydney, Australia non-stop, and then around the Horn back to London following the course of the weel sailing clippers - in his new yacht, the 53-ft. long Gypsy Moth IV. His wife, Sheila, and their son Giles, 20, will accompany him from Tower Pier to Plymouth. Photo shows Mr. Francis Chichester pictured aboard the Gypsy Moth IV - at Greenwich today.
