1967 - Propellers weighs 32 tons each: One of the propellers for the Q 4 will be put on view as a centrepiece at the International Engineering Exhibition which opens at Earls Court, London on April 24. Each of the four propellers weighs 32 tons each. Although the Q4 is a twin-screw ship, four propellers are being built two for fitting to the ship and two as spares. The propellers are 19 feet in diameter. They will be the first six-bladed propellers ever fitted in a passenger liner and the largest in any twin-screw ship
