Sep. 09, 1967 - Giant tanker hits bank during launching, in Belfast: The £5 million shell tanker Myrina, 191, 250 tons biggest ship ever launched in Europe, was blown against the side of Belfast Lough during her launching yesterday at the Harland and Wolff shipyard. Winds made the launching difficult and the bow of the vessel hit an embankment, shattering a small boat.
