Dec. 12, 1966 - Francis Chichester given Hero's welcome in Sydney Harbor: Lone yachtsman, Francis Chichester, aboard his ketch Gypsy Moth IV, was given a hero's welcome, when he sailed into Sydney today. Scores of small craft bustled round the Gypsy Moth IV as he rounded Sydney Heads into the Harbor this morning, after his epic 13, 750 mile voyage from Plymouth. Photo shows Gypsy Moth IV, with lone yachtsman Francis Chichester aboard, surrounded by small craft, beats its way up Sydney Harbor after the epic 108 day journey from Plymouth
