Oct. 10, 1967 - New Oakley type lifeboat Undergoes launching trials from the New Lifeboat Station at Trevose head: The new Oakley type lifeboat, James and Catherine McFerlane, which goes into service as the Trevose Head and Padstew lifeboat this winter, recently underwent launching, sailing and recovery trials from the new Trevose Head lifeboat station which is being built at a cost of £114, 000. Photo shows the new lifeboat is seen going down the slipway, (which extends 288-ft. out into the sea) of the new boathouse during launching trials at Trevose Head
