Aug. 08, 1968 - Russian Hydrofoil arrives at Dover.: The first of the 150-passenger seagoing hydrofoils the Russians hope to sell to the British transport industry, arrived at Dover today. A Russian crew brought the Hydrofoil - the Kometa - from Leningrad, via Rotterdam. It is the first giant Russian hydrofoil to visit Britain. The 42 m.p.h craft weighs 127 tons.
