Jun. 02, 1968 - June 2nd 1968 The start of theSingle-Handed Transatlantic Yacht Race from Plymouth 35 yachts set out from Plymouth yesterday on the 3, 000-mile single-handed race across the Atlantic to Newport, Rhode Island.
