Sep. 15, 1969 - REGINA MARIS SAILS TO AUSTRALIA, AFTER DELAY. The Norwegian barquentime REGINA MARIS, left Plymouth yesterday (Sunday), after a three-day delay, to follow Captain Cook's first voyage to Australia, via Cape Horn. Bud weather, an injury to her bo'sun, Roger Callan, and non-delivery of food supplies held her up. the Regina Maris is skippered by two Norwegian shipping magnets brothers, Captains John Wilson and Sigfried Wilson. Captain John Wilson's Chinese wife, Alice, and 5 weeks old daughter, Marianne, are accompanning them on the voyage.
